Pouring the Footer
A concrete truck is used to pour concrete into the trench to form the footers. The footers support the outside load bearing walls. In this picture you can see the rebar (steel rods in the bottom of the trench), the insulation along the right side of the trench, and some of the pipes that have been laid below the trench and up the right side (into the house). The trailer and shed we are living in while building are in the background (Kathy is on the shed porch). September 11, 1998
