Exhaust and Fresh Air Vent Fans

This shows the exhaust and fresh air vents and fans in the ceiling above the laundry room. The fans are hard to see but are sitting on the wooden platform. The exhaust fan pulls air out of closets and cabinets (see next picture) keeping the air from growing stale. The fresh air fan pulls in outside air, filters it, and vents it into the hallway. It is important to have the fresh air entering the house when the exhaust fan is running else air might be pulled in from the attic and walls with the accompanying smell of insulation.
